$14-$17 Hourly Tips depending on experience and availability.
The Pack Mule is a brand new "Specialty Grocery Store" in Hill City, SD. We featuring groceries and spirits with an emphasis on local products and high-quality goods. We are a "one-stop" shopping outlet with common grocery items, deli, butcher selection and liquor all under the same roof.
The Retail Associate will provide excellent guest service to our customers by guiding them to an informed purchase based on their preferences and interests. You will be a "jack of all trades" and you will be trained on the various products and categories in the store, such as fresh meat, produce, liquor and shelf goods. You may also be trained and tasked with providing service in the bar or deli areas. All employees, regardless of section worked, will be added to the tip pool for the shift they worked.
The ideal candidate will have a sincere interest in representing local and high quality food goods and ingredients and will have a demonstrated ability to provide excellent guest service.
A knowledge of craft beer, fine wine, and quality spirits is a plus, but not necessary.
We are currently looking for Full Time staffers, year round!
Responsibilities:
- Stock and rotate grocery products to ensure freshness.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering customer questions and offering product recommendations.
- Ensure that the grocery department is clean, well-stocked, and attractive.
- Monitor product quality and inform management of any items that need to be removed from sale.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with ordering and stocking of products.
- Operate cash registers, handle money, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Experience:
- Previous experience in sales, particularly in grocery or liquor is preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
-Past commercial kitchen experience, either in a butcher's market or deli, or restaurant setting is not necessary, but is preferred.
-A passion for great food and cool and innovated products is a must!
